Rewatching your favorite films or films by your favorite director (and in this case, specifically David Cronenberg films)

 

My oldest nephew just got hired on the spot for a dream job that is absolutely incredible and I am over the moon happy for him! The best part though is it’s 2 mins away from my house! He said “you’re gonna get sick of me because I’m gonna be at your house so much!” So I’m obviously making him a key so he can come over whenever he wants! They also got me a flower for Mother’s Day bc I’m their “second mom” They are the sweetest boys in the world!

 

Late to this thread, but I was able to see the northern lights in my neighborhood last friday, but could only see it for about 10 minutes and took photos on my phone. I live about an hour from the blue ridge parkway so I drove up there at 10 pm saturday night and took my sony A7iv to get some crispy pics of the lights. Unfortunately I didn't see any by the time I left but I got some photos of the night sky and the moon that turned out great. Taking photos of the sky, wether day, night, sunrise, sunset, always puts me at peace.

 

Seeing death cab for cutie play transatlanticism the song was god-tier. I mean the entire album, but never thought I'd see them play that song and it was probably the most excited I've been to hear a song played.

 

Someone I went to high school with randomly reached out and said he was going to share our GoFundMe on his Youtube channel. I look into it and sure enough, he runs a cat-centric channel with like 165k subscribers and we're already up another $300 today. We want our boy back home and happy and healing more than anything, but knowing some of the financial burden for his care is going to be softened by some folks I've never even met (including ones from this site) is a reason to keep living.

Got a season pass for the Alamo drafthouse and I’ve been going to a movie daily which rules

 

- Finally listening to P.S. Eliot after 10+ years of considering Waxahatchee a favorite artist

- Movies that stick with you long after they’re over

I have regal unlimited so I go to the movies a lot. I cashed in some points for a free popcorn and drink but the reward never gets removed from my account so every time I go I get a drink and popcorn for free. Hope they never catch on lol

 

Random, but I went to an AMC today in Pittsburgh (we have Cinemark in Erie) and it is WILD that you can just catch free refills and ICEEs are the same price as regular drinks

 

Seeing a movie you were really anticipating and it meeting your expectations

Getting to sleep in your own bed

Sleeping in on the weekend

 

Keeping up with One Piece manga gets me through life. Today’s chapter was amazing and there’s no break next week.
