Some big things dropped in ‘93 (me)

 

I had a Mexican pizza from Taco Bell today for the first time in years and it was one of the best I've ever had

the Cinnabon delights and Baja Blast were great as always too

 

I will know for sure around noon tomorrow but my realtor said it’s looking like they are going to accept my offer!!! Then as long as the home inspection is ok I will be officially buying my first house!!! Can’t even describe how I’m feeling. I’ve worked so hard and I’ve done all of this on my own so to finally be achieving something this big is just incredible. And so many people told me I’d never be able to do it on my own but here I am!!

There's something magical about ordering fast food and having everything just be great and what you expected or better and it all hits right.

Seems like almost every time I order fast food, at least one thing is off. But when everything hits right and they remember all your stuff and package it well and it tastes great it's so pleasant.

Finding a new hobby that you dive right into


Also tiny annoyance - finding a new hobby you dive right into that is expensive (for me, Lego is the culprit the last few weeks)

I totally understand I’m in a position of supreme privilege to be able to afford all this shit. I think back to being a kid and getting like one wrestling action figure every 6 months or something and just shake my head in awe that I can sit here and scroll through thousands of Lego sets and pick out which ones I want FIRST, let alone be able to get them at all as an adult.

Definitely doing my best to appreciate where I am in life and what I can spend money on and really sink into each build and enjoy every moment. Definitely not something I’m rushing through.

 

You'll have to share pictures and thoughts after each one, either in the LEGO thread or elsewhere. I'm super interested in that Viking ship one and the Lion Knights Castle

The rest of the night was great! A friend and I saw some bands play, then got pizza afterward :)

 

I went to Applebees for the first time in years and they have an exclusive Mountain Dew flavor. I haven’t been a fan of the recent ones, but this one is fantastic. It’s dark berry.

 

Applebee's is underrated

 

Just got back from Applebee's lol. I'm trying to eat better and be more active this year, but my brother still ropes me into things like all you can eat wings every once in a while. The portion size was insane; I couldn't eat more than twelve wings (they were big), but the waiter was kind enough to let us put in a final order to take home. Great deal.

 

Haven’t been there in years. Used to go every Friday with a group of friends like a decade ago and would load up in the $2 large Long Island iced teas and always had a great time. Always liked the vibe of the restaurant itself too - not too loud, not super dim but dim and comfortable lighting. Also never minded all the tacky local shit on the walls and at least the one in my town, back then, had a great staff so it was a real gem in a city that didn’t have a whole lot for folks in their early 20’s to do.
