Grayscale said they dropped Echoes cause it had little fan reaction. Collin said it’s one of their lowest streamed songs and they probably won’t try to play it again till it gets more streams. Also, Grayscale have a new tour exclusive shirt, they posted it on their socials, and it’s $40.
Yeah crowds on this tour have been weird, Chain sold out and Mesa had a tonnn of kids there but like San Diego was empty. They're definitely doing better than last headliner but yeah, not the biggest draw in the scene obviously.
Wasn't Real Friends one of the biggest pop punk bands in the scene like last year? Maybe a lot of their fanbase grew out of them or are burnt out on seeing them since it seems like they do multiple headlining tours a year.
This is their first headliner since Summer 2017, they took a break before recording their last album and I think that slowed things down a little bit.
At this point they’ve been popular long enough that most pop punk fans have seen them multiple times. Everyone should still go and support because their new record rules and these guys deserve it.
Grayscale have updated their social media pictures to something that looks like it could be an album cover. Has anyone spoken to them or have they said anything at any of these shows about new music? https://www.facebook.com/GrayscalePA/
Apparently Colin has said no new music anytime soon, this is probably for a music video if he was being honest
anyone who went to georgia or florida, have BM been playing drowned in gold? i know they played it in texas
Ah, gotcha. That's a bit disappointing, was hoping they'd have an album out in like March or something,
They have two music videos coming, one for Fever Dream (relatively soon), and If I Ever See You Again (they said February ish)
Curious about turnout/crowd reaction for these shows. Was at Baltimore last night, the crowd went off for Grayscale, BM, and RF. BM had the best stage presence imo. About 650~ people there, give or take.
I was there too, Soundstage taking the barricade down really made this show a lot more fun than I thought it was gonna be. Grayscale’s crowd had to have been as loud as RF’s, it’s no doubt in my mind they’re ready for a headliner.
Grayscale definitely is overdue for a headliner, or at least a direct support slot with a longer set. And I love when Soundstage takes down the barricade. My first show there was TWY/Fireworks/Citizen/RF/Mobo in 2014 no barricade. Fun times.
At my show grayscale had the loudest crowd reaction maybe a little louder than real friends. Id say Boston Manor had a crazier crowd tho moshing/crowdsurfing wise.
The last 2 times I’ve seen Grayscale they’ve said they want to do a headliner. Maybe after the tour with State Champs that can happen.
