Julia came out to sing with The Gaslight Anthem at their Chicago show tonight! (Don’t ask me which song I was not there and also do not listen to them haha)

 

She sang the second verse and a few other lines on both Here's Looking at You, Kid and The '59 Sound, then hung out on stage rocking out to Smells Like Teen Spirit and I think sang the third verse. It was pretty rad

I forgot to post in here after the Julien show, but they played three new songs on stage that night.

Only the first song was a title mentioned but all three sound great!

Marcus is releasing a new album under the name “Wrong Numbers”, album is out in June and Julia sings on the first single.

Julia came out to sing “Bullseye” with Lucy Dacus tonight in Chicago. I had a ticket to the show tonight but sold it to go tomorrow, but hopefully someone recorded it!

 

Julia and Dave opened for local Chicago band Hollow Bastion’s record release show (they opened for Ratboys at their record release show at Schubas in 2023) and I recorded their entire set! They played a couple new songs including one that Julia said she’s been working on since 2017.

 

I saw Julia and Dave open for local Chicago band Modern Cults in Chicago yesterday. They played a bunch of new songs, including songs that are not even on the next record. Julia said they got the masters back for their next album yesterday, which is out in Q1 2026. Also Julia came out and sang for two of Modern Cults songs from their new EP as she is featured on the studio recordings of those songs.

 

Damn, was hoping they would put it out this year

Wish I could have been there tonight but am out of town! Luckily they are playing another show in Chicago this fall that is yet to be announced so I will be at that show!
