Dave's lead tone on My Hands Grow has mad Machina era Pumpkins vibes. Which, believe it or not, came out 20 years ago today.

Anyone else get occasional Yo La Tengo vibes from this record? Title track especially

Entire review is very positive... C+

Their only issue with the album seems to be that other pop rock albums exist. Sometimes I really hate Pitchfork

 

if we go by Canadian grading curves 7.7 is a B+ if that makes ya feel better lol

 

7/10 is a great score that defines something being “good”, there is absolutely nothing to be mad about

Yeah a 7.7 on Pitchfork is very good
