Having this band name and Rat Boy both co-exist is very confusing.

They covered Wilco's Pot Kettle Black for a compilation.

Think they played at least two new songs from it today, couldn’t tell for sure though.

 

They did. They played Listening and Aliens With a Sleep Mask on.

Apparently they played an apple picking festival in New Buffalo, Michigan the other day. My family owns a summer home near there but I didn’t know they were playing (I also had plans this weekend).

 

does this mean they’re releasing it themselves via a publishing company?

 

They are premiering a new song (Alien With A Sleep Mask On) and music video on November 4th at Sleeping Village in Chicago.

Anyone else going to Julia’s solo show or the music video/song premier? I’m going to try and go to both. I’m going to try and record Julia’s whole set and share it here.

 

Went to Julia's solo show and it was great. She played a lot of new songs from the record and they all sound really good. In fact, hear for yourself, as I filmed her whole set (like I said I would haha).

 

The music video premiere was cool, I’ve never been to any sort of live premiere for anything, and hearing the new song as a recorded version was great, even more stoked for this record. Julia said the song will be on the internet sooner rather than later from my memory so I imagine in the next few weeks. I imagine we will get the album title then too.
