I got a rejection letter from a job I applied to but never had an interview at. It makes me wonder why my application was passed up without interview when I was perfectly qualified for the position.

 

I rather not hear anything from a place I applied to than get a rejection letter/email. Getting a reject letter makes me feel like an official loser.

 

it's interesting not hearing anything drives me nuts, I need closure in life and that's rare

 

If I don't hear anything I assume I was rejected. Seeing it in writing tho...

 

I'm the exact same way.

I actually thought about making this thread. I just didn't know what to call it/I have a fear that no one will reply to my threads.

I'm pretty sure this one girl I went to school with named her daughter after one of the kardashians.

Because it wasn't really a "frustration", I called back my potential job since I completed all the paperwork I was given, and the girl that I guess answers calls had a really thick accent, not only was it hard to understand her, but it looked like she had a hard time understanding me as well. Not blaming her, I bet she struggles with this daily. Before I would assume people with thick accents living in the states can understand "american accent" but I guess it was hard for them to understand us, then I worked with a guy one summer who's 2nd language was english (his accent wasn't super thick to where it was hard to understand him, but you can tell he had an accent), and he would never answer the phone and I asked him why one time and he explained to me how he already had a difficult time understanding us, that he went comfortable answering phone. I never gave that much thought before. Language barriers can suck sometimes.
