Moonlight is a genuinely great film, and one of the best films that has ever won the award. The rest is a lot of stuff that no one remembers. If I had to rank them:

1. Moonlight
2. Going to the dentist
3. The Artist
4. 12 Years a Slave
5. Spotlight
6. Birdman
7. Argo
8. The King's Speech

The King's Speech is just an offensive mess that weirdly steps aside from the monarchy's role in the growth of Adolf Hitler.

Argo, although my vote is completely bias. I love that film so much.

I'm gonna keep going back in history by decade. Gonna be interesting when we get to the 30s!

This isn't even a question, it's Moonlight hands down.

 

The only ones I liked are Moonlight and 12 Years a Slave. Moonlight would be my pick.

Echoing everyone here but Moonlight is light years ahead of everything else on this list!

 

Obviously Moonlight, but yo, people didn't like Birdman? What did you want to win that year?

Oh, right, that's when Boyhood came out. Still need to watch it...

 

I started Birdman. Made it about 45 minutes in and never finished it. Don't think I ever will.

 

Yeah, it feels like that first shot goes on forever, doesn't it?

 

Really love Birdman so I voted for it but Moonlight is also a good choice.
