Even though there won't be another poll 'til Monday, let's start the Stephen King challenge now. Note: There are so many adaptations of King novels/stories, and the site only allows ten options a poll, so I'm just picking as many as I can, and then the next poll will have the next ten, and so on, until we get through all of them, then a final poll with the winners of each poll.
I'm going to need to think about this for a bit. Carrie, Creepshow, Cujo and The Shining are all up there, with Carrie and The Shining probably meaning the most to me. There's one adaptation I would choose over all of them, but it's not on this poll
The Shining for me, from this group (and probably for the entire thing, to be honest). I still haven't seen 11/22/63 (waiting to read the book first) but I heard it's very good.
Looking at this (albeit incomplete for this first poll round) list, makes me realize that I really haven't seen that many King adaptions. I went with Carrie which I did like, but mainly because the only other one I've seen and actually remember is The Shining, and I completely understand how in the minority I am for this opinion, but I just could not get into it. I've rewatched it quite a few times but still falls flat.
I was almost certain The Shining would take it, but I'm surprised the votes aren't a little more scattered. Some of these movies are a lot of fun and are the type that I could easily understand to be personal favourites
