this song is not what i expected

 

it resembles all of the new songs i saw them play last year

 

I. Am. So. Excited.

 

I didn't really know them before but that song felt like a really fresh sound.

 

i don't think i'm into this new song

 

Getting a post hardcore vibe a bit. a mix of Fugazi and sleater Kinney (in just the low end). I like it and it'll grow on me too I think

 

I can hear that. Bit of a D.C. sound. Not what I was expecting - it's good, but this isn't really what I'm looking for when I listen to Rainer Maria

 

Not what I was expecting either, but I like it. All I wanted was something good, and to me this sounds like the kind of spacious song that you can do a lot with in a live setting, which seems to be where their priorities lie these days

 

I'll have to see how this sounds live. Man, seeing this band would kick ass

On a tangential note, I never thought this band would reunite - never thought that were that popular - but they did. Now, if a Jejune reunion could happen, that'd be even crazier.

I can only imagine that it'll kick ass live -- they were great when I saw them at Wrecking Ball, feel like they'd sound even better if they were indoors. Wish they toured some more

Tbh I don't think they reunited because they were particularly popular as much as they just wanted to. Even now I'd say they're underappreciated compared to a lot of bands of that era. I gotta dive further into Jejune tho

 

I wanna see them so bad. For how many emo bands reunion I've loved I've only seen Mineral live

They're definitely underrated. (I much prefer this style to af/cap'n jazz style of emo tho.) Jejune's one of my favorites overall. I always grouped them with Rainer Maria in my head, but honestly I probably prefer jejune

Jejune is amazing. Apparently Pogoh's still a band and looking to release new music, which is cool. Really not sure about this song, maybe I'll like it more when I accept it doesn't sound like what I expected it to.

 

Yeah I'm really excited about the pohgoh reunion. Could never understand why they flew so under the radar

ok this is awesome - last track is beautiful

 

"forest mattress" is so good
