Right, but it wouldn't be the first time he spent years working on a project only for nothing to release lol.
I had a list earlier so I'll do another off the fly. 1. Vietnow 2. Testify 3. Year Of Tha Boomerang 4. Township Rebellion 5. Calm Like A Bomb Actually, that's the same list haha.
So many good songs to choose from. Love the bass in Snakecharmer. Also love when Maynard comes in on Know Your Enemy.
Sleep Now In The Fire, Down Rodeo, People of the Sun, Vietnow, Freedom. I feel like the first 3 will always stay the same but the last two can change out daily.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one mentioning vietnow. Was it a single or does it rule as much as I think it does?
I never really got into Renegades but I should definitely revisit it since people are talking about how good it is and I LOVE the rest of their discography.
Vietnow, Take the Power Back, Testify, Calm Like a Bomb, Born of a Broken Man are my top 5 in some order
Listened to the Battle of Los Angeles at work today. Might be old as hell but the album still fuckin' rips.
I honestly don't know anyone who's a "fan" of that project, and I know a TON of RATM fans. Feels like they really misfired, but then again I'm not sure how popular their stuff is.
I haven't listened to the album yet, but I will. As a live act, I'm sure it's great, but I don't really need the new material without Zach.
It's the same guitar tone on every track pretty much, making all the songs sound like variations of each other. Gets really repetitive.
Yeah, I listened to the first half of the record and was pretty underwhelmed. I'll listen to the rest today, but I think if they're gonna go this route, they should just stick to doing live shows and just play RATM, Public Enemy and Cypress songs. If they're having a good time doing this, then good for them, but the music sounds pretty uninspired and seriously lacks the punch of any of the previous bands' work.
While this doesn't really grab me, I really don't think it can be said enough how extremely talented Tim is
This is so great. A hiphop head listens to Rage Against The Machine’s self-titled album for the first time. Here is his reaction (NSFW):
