Regularly been listening to the Battle of Los Angeles in it's entirety in recent months. No skips and definitely my no 1 album of theirs.
"When there is news regarding Rage Against the Machine you will hear it from all 4 members of Rage Against the Machine" (paraphrasing) and when asked any other permutation of the question receives the exact same answer
They know they can sell out arenas, and Zach can still tear the house down; guess it comes down to timing or whatever. And how effed up Zach's leg is still.
Embarrassing! This Guy Clearly Started Singing the Words To “Guerrilla Radio” When “Testify” Came On And Everyone In the Car Heard It
I never forget losing my shit in a great way after RATM got the Christmas number 1 single then the free concert they put on at Finsbury Park was awesome!!
Renegades possibly the best covers album by a major American rock band released in the last, let's say 30 years? Underrated, anyway.
lol Right-Wing Rage Against the Machine Fan Wishes We Could Go Back to the America That Existed When He Was Too Stupid to Understand the Lyrics
Drove to our regular airport yesterday in the UK which is immediately next to the outdoor venue where I was meant to see these guys in 2022 but was cancelled. Evil Empire on repeat today as a salve. Used to be one I didn't revisit much in my teens (other than that incredible 1-2 intro) but since I started tracking my music plays last Jan it's been my 3rd most played album. Discography all the more special due to how little of it there is.
The first 2 albums were so powerful for me, when they came out. Saw them at lollapalooza and they were so tight.
Kinda glad these guys didn’t put new music out and just kept the reunion to a few shows here and there.
Yeah, thank God they didn't have to subject themselves to the number of incels who would slam new music for being woke.
After Prophets Of Rage I'm not sure I'd have had confidence in new music being good, I just wish Zach had put out more music over the course of his post-RATM career
"march of death" and his RTJ guest verses are good enough to suggest Zach on his own could still make something great on his own. I'm definitely more skeptical about the band as a unit working creatively at this point (ok I am skeptical of tom sorry bud)
Yeah, this is my thought. And I know this will probably be blasphemous to some, but I felt the same about Audioslave too. Obviously better than POR, but still nothing compared to anything Rage did.
Cornell was a god tier vocalist (and, once upon a time, songwriter) but it was all downhill from "Cochise" as far as I'm concerned.
