As soon as I saw the clarification that it "wasn't a RATM reunion" I guessed it would be something with the three instrumental members... Zack has always seemed to be not on the same page as the rest of the band since the initial breakup. I get the sense the other guys have wanted to work together again for a while.
To be fair, Chuck D is pretty cool too. I think I could dig this... hopefully it becomes more than just a "greatest hits" tour of their three bands, which is what it sounds like now.
I've always wondered why he's basically been retired for most of the time since RATM's initial breakup... I have some ideas but it'd be nice to hear it from him.
I agree. The only thing he has done since the 2nd break up was one song with Run The Jewels, which is a great song at that. Pretty sure he preformed it live with them once too. Other than that he really doesn't do anything in the public eye. Zack is everything to Rage. Audioslave was good, but no one can replace the energy and sound Zack brings.

I mean, I'd go see RATM fronted by Chuck D and B-Real playing RATM, Cypress and PE songs. It's not what I wanted, but it'd still be a fun time.
