Man I hadn't really gotten into Radiohead until recently, bar a few tracks from OK Computer, and then about a month ago it all just clicked for me......It's been so enjoyable spending time with these albums. I've been mainly focusing on OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows so far before I dig deep into the rest of their catalogue. They're all so incredible in their own way (and Kid A is way more accessible than I'd been led to believe lol). Let Down is easily my favorite song. I've listened to it countless times and never fail to get chills, or nearly tear up, at the "One day I am gonna grow wings" part.
reading Hyden's book today, really enjoyable read so far. I have never heard this version of "Kid A" that he talks about before and I am over the moon
Love that version too. That whole bootleg is incredible and worth seeking out. Probably their best one.
geez this is good kinda feel like the charisma of their live show the last several years is career low
Energy level I guess, but imo they were way better on this tour than the KOL tour and arguably better than the proper IR tour. First time I saw them was the IR material road test tour and 2018 was the best I've seen them since then. I heard the first leg of the tour wasn't nearly as good though. Really love this Kid A also
Aged beautifully. I didn't fully appreciate it for years but the live versions of these tracks really breath new life into them and made me really appreciate the album as a whole. Anxiously waiting for their next output which is hopefully somewhat soon
Give Up The Ghost has become one of my favorite Radiohead tunes. First time I saw them live was Bonnaroo 2012 so the set was heavy on KOL. Hearing the album live really made me appreciate it more.
I love all this praise for TKOL. Over the years I’ve felt like it’s received a baffling amount of hate. love it.
TKOL is half an amazing record imo. Straight up weird they relegated Supercollider to bside status and didn't even finish Daily Mail when the album is 8 tracks that weren't all winners.
