but only 2 are new new, right? i think most were played at TMB shows and one was a rag and bone show track
Yeah only 2 are new new but still, playing 7 songs that aren’t released yet seems like a big sign that something is coming! Then again in 2015 when he was playing 4 of those 7 I thought the same thing lol
Has anyone who ordered the song book heard anything about when it’ll ship? I bought it as a xmas gift for my parents but I’m p sure it’ll come well after that
They absolutely deserve 100% of the credit. Have you heard the song? It's the exact same vocal melody.
I don't understand how that would even work. Radiohead doesn't even have 100% of creep. How could they be entitled to 100% of Lana's song? It's a weird unfortunate move.
Whether or not they believe they are entitled to 100%, if you're going to ask for damages, it only makes sense start at 100% and work down from there.
we’ll sure. but it seems like negotiations have gone on for a while, leading to lana even offering 40%, and they still refuse to go below 100%. i love this band. they’re a top 5 active band for me and probably top 20 ever. but there’s no getting around this being a really bad look for them.
I’m ignorant on this subject, but it seems to me that there are only so many melodies, chord progressions, riffs, etc. that can even exist, so what’s the basis for lawsuits regarding this issue?
I don't think anyone is going to argue that it doesn't sound like creep, even some of the rhyme schemes are the same. She'll probably lose a percentage but 100% is ridiculous
It would have been nice to have have this handled like Tom Petty and Sam Smith (I think?), where both sides basically said accidents happen and agreed to some percentage. Radiohead does not look great, especially with Lana being (in my opinion) as generous as she claims to be.
