Official lyrics here if they haven't been posted, kinda completely changes Glass Eyes for me Identikit | A low-flying panic attack
don't they still play street spirit often? I want to see them live so bad and I'm sad I never got to see them in the In Rainbows era or the Kid A era for that matter but I would have been 10
Creep is a great song but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks 2+2 is weak. HTTT is just not a good record, imo. There There Sail to the Moon Scatterbrain Myxomatosis A Wolf at the Door Gagging Order Those are excellent but the rest is completely forgettable to me. The Gloaming is the most worthless song in their entire discography.
With so many A level songs left off their albums I think the bsides are generally worth discussing alongside the respective album tracks. Either way, kinda emphasizes how weak httt is to me when arguably its second best track isn't even on it. Just looked at the set list from last night - damn, they really got one over on night one. Talk Show Host!
HTTT would be one of their best if it wasn't so bloated. Even the band admit that. I get why they wanted to try and do it all quickly and it definitely helps in a lot of songs but if they spent more time on it, it would be up there with Kid A and IR imo
Cannot believe they did Talk Show Host, making me feel even worse for not being able to get tickets for London :/
It's "bloated" bc alot of the tracks aren't special. If it were chock full of good songs it would just be a long good album
And the fact it's longer that most of their albums, if not the longest, by 10-15 minutes. If they'd have cut it down to a normal length and got rid of some of the more ordinary tracks then it would be a lot tighter. TKOL kind of has the opposite problem in that it's too short. Cannot believe songs like Staircase/Daily Mail/Supercollider/Butcher didn't get on it to be honest to lengthen/replace some of the sketchy first half.
this band is good playlists where their special tracks can be spliced together I think In Rainbows and Kid A are their only albums that are paced or flow well
I do actually agree with this. Wtf is that song. But how come more people aren't name dropping "Go To Sleep", "Punchup at a Wedding"? To me it's cool Radiohead even after Kid A could still sling out awesome rock songs in pentatonic blues scales and have an attitude once in awhile.
Did first listen of HTTT this morning...really didn't engage me at any point and halfway through I felt like it should've been almost over. Cant even tell you any standout tracks because none of it engaged me. Between this and Amnesiac, the band's course is starting to lose me
Yeah I will, I gave that a spin a while back and liked it but im very interested to see how I feel now in context of the discog
Some new artwork with "there is no evidence" caption...they really know how to excite the fanbase over what probably will just be a video haha Radiohead Post Mysterious Artwork | Pitchfork
given that AMSP is full of tracks that have been around for years I'm open to the thought that maybe there is more to the album. there's been more to alot of rh albums
Yeah if there was a b sides album type thing they wouldn't tease it this soon and it'd be in the special edition...it must be The Numbers video, but they're a mysterious bunch so guess we'll see
Yeah it was in the special edition, did they announce that at the time of release? I don't know as I wasn't following the band back in 07 haha, if it wasn't maybe we'll get one this time
