Finally downloaded OK C. Only essential album I still haven't heard, and I've called myself a Radiohead fan for 6+ years now ha. Also I remember when TKOL came out, and everyone took the ending lyrics of Seperator as meaning there would be another companion album soon. Of course that never happened. So maybe for AMSP we'll get one....
Or artwork for a new single. Not expecting a companion piece at all. If anything, maybe a From The Basement. But that's just wishful thinking, I'm sure.
I disagree with this. The Bends is actually my favorite of theirs, with OK Computer not far behind. The Bends is just a perfect alt rock album, while OK Computer gradually blends their experimental tendencies with the alt rock perfected on The Bends. They're both perfect albums to me, I just prefer The Bends slightly.
I'm just confused how you can be a Radiohead fan for what was it, 6 years, and never listen to OK Computer.
man that would be great. man I love this band. hope we dont have to wait 5 years again or whatever. new one feels short to me even though its not
I generally agree. The Bends certainly isn't my favorite record in their catalog, but I love it on its own merits apart from what's offered on OKC. There's nothing on the latter to match the pure alt-rock genius of "Just" or "Black Star."
Yeah that's what I think they are too. Radiohead reissues were delivered today. They don't come out until Friday, but Amazon is the best. Anyhow, they are really nice. Capitol Reissues (I think). All 180g. Going to need some larger 10" sleeves to fit Kid A and Amnesiac in, because they won't fit in standard 10" sleeves. Plus they all come with printed inner sleeves as well as anti-static, polyethylene sleeves. Can't wait to spin them later this week.
just fold regular 12" sleeves once you place them inside - that's what I do for 10" I love 10" - they're so cool
just put the record inside against one of the bottom corners and then fold the opposite side of the sleeve - use some tape to adhere it to the other side
"Spectre" is now on Apple Music/Spotify... they also added a bunch of B-sides/other stuff that had been taken down with the label switch.
YES. Now they just need to go back and add From The Basement for both The King of Limbs and In Rainbows.
Were either of them ever on streaming services in any format other than video? I've had to download the bootlegs for both and offline sync them with spotify which has been a pain but if they're coming on later that would be nice.
They were both on Apple Music at one point. Even the videos were, too. In fact they are still on my phone in my Apple Music library, except they are grayed out since they are unavailable.
Oh wow cool, I've always used Spotify and the lack of In Rainbows has been annoying enough but this makes it worse :/ do I change streaming services for one band...tempting haha
I would haha. If the Live From The Basement releases make it back, then you definitely should. However, I'm curious as to whether XL purchased those when they recently attained copyright ownership of their back catalog.
