Yup, in 2023:

 

I don't like that they're trying to use their other performers as a shield to hide behind instead of confronting the actual concerns. They're trying to shame people into feeling they're harming "innocent bystanders" instead of taking responsibility for their own decisions.

 

They should just rearrange it to take place in the US, i'm sure they wont have any issues there.

They are supposedly announcing a tour in about two weeks. Personally I am less enthused about the prospect of seeing them live again after how Thom and Jonny have responded to the war.

Yeah, they are a bucket list band for me but I don't think I'd be able to put the Israel stuff out of my mind enough to enjoy seeing them right now. Which sucks because you never know when they're gonna stop touring/being a band

 

Anyone ever heard this? Looks like it was released several years back so perhaps I'm way late, but loving these arrangements after coming across them this afternoon.

 

Thom Yorke has released a statement on his IG. It's a bit "woe is me" in places, but at least it's something.

 

It also continues to push the false equivalency of the hostages not being released

Haven’t been able to listen to these guys because of their stance on Israel. Used to be one of my favorites but I can’t stomach them anymore.

 

Essentially his response is "let's all pray for peace and understanding from both sides"

Neglecting to see that "both sides"ing something leads to the continued domination of the side enacting violence, thus forcing him on a side. Brilliant play.

 

Weak-ass fucking statement. There is the 'side' actively committing genocide for more than two and a half years at this point, and then there is the side who is not. Fuck you Thom, can't believe I ever looked up to you and yr band.
