it’s grown on me since it was released but the middle still has some duds. lotus flower and codex are fantastic though.
OK Computer Kid A In Rainbows ASMP (these top 4 rotate frequently) Amnesiac TKOL The Bends HTTT Pablo Honey Even though HTTT is my 8th favorite, I still love that record so much. That’s just how into their discography I am
I still need to listen to these, have been tempted to buy the vinyl singles several times if they weren't like $20 a piece at my local shop
In Rainbows OK Computer Kid A A Moon Shaped Pool The Bends Amnesiac Hail to the Thief King of Limbs Pablo Honey
kid a in rainbows amnesiac hail to the thief the bends king of limbs ok computer a moon shaped pool pablo honey
it’s a super important record but it’s importance and critical impact outweigh the fact that some of the songs are pretty mediocre and the theme of the record/it’s unrelenting nature make for a tough listen. they should have replaced electioneering with lift or man of war
The “theme” of OK is also not particularly well explored, in my honest opinion. Even compared to their own (later) work.
Nailed it (I have it at #4, but it's still a clear tier below the top 3). Some people consider Kid A to be better as an idea than as an enjoyable listen, but that actually applies most to OKC for me. I fully understand why it's a crucial album in rock history and deserved all its accolades, but I pretty much never listen to it straight through. Kid A is a much more enjoyable and engaging listen IMO.

They're all pretty good I don't want to rank, I guess I go back to Hail the Thief the least Outside of the first two, which are like too different to compare
I think it's easy to say that today while the "theme" is even more apparent in our society, but I'd argue that it was pretty well explored for its time. And still pretty relevant.
yall wild as fuck for your bad OK Computer takes OK Computer In Rainbows Kid A A Moon Shaped Pool Hail To The Thief The King Of Limbs Amnesiac The Bends Pablo Honey
The Bends does get unfairly overlooked sometimes or even lumped in with PH as throwaway britpop There's a bunch of stuff on there that's sonically and texturally awesome, strongly alluding to what was coming. Unfortunately there's some skip-worthy filler like "Bones" and "My Iron Lung" that stop me from defending it full stop.
I really really respect TKOL. More than AMSP and HttT maybe, even if I dont enjoy listening to it as much as those.
