Finally listened to this. Probably Radiohead's most aesthetically gorgeous album from start to finish... everything on here is so LUSH and mesmerizing. But there's still a ton of emotional depth, and coming full circle with a recorded version of True Love Waits (Can you believe it??) after 20+ years is absolutely incredible. This may top In Rainbows for me, but regardless of album rankings I know I'll be loving this album for years to come.
Said this in the unpopular music thread, but I've not been able to get into Radiohead as hard as I've tried. But this album is completely sucking me in. I love it. Once I've spent enough time on this record I'm going to work my way backwards through their discography and see if my perspective on their music as a whole has changed.
Well. I love it. Ful Stop kind of has a David Bowie feel to it. Glad that I haven't heard any of these songs live so it's all new to me. Stunning album.
i find copeland to be enormously boring but if comparing this to them makes sense to people and gets someone interested then it's w/e
Ixora is a good comparable, and no.. Nothing blows that record out of the water.. If you think so you need to go back and listen to it..
You honestly might be the first person I've seen post a negative comment. Which doesn't mean you are wrong just havnt seen anything but positive reaction from people
I understand that in some ways... I don't k is if records like this are for everyone.. Very dark and full of incredibly dark harmonic progressions... But I feel like fans of the band have fallen in love with those aspect of them which is why response has been so positive.. Are you a fan of their back catalogue? If so which records?
