I think Up is a little overpraised overall, it's a good album but it bores me somewhat and feels a little same-y tempo wise, a little too soft overall. I understand this may be a minority opinion.

 

I do really dig Walk Unafraid, Falls To Climb, At My Most Beautiful, and Daysleeper though.

on a huge REM kick the last few weeks and having a blast -- adding a bunch of their LPs to my collection. I've had Murmur for a while but I recently got Fables and Automatic. Lifes Rich Pageant is also on the way which is my fav

 

New Adventures in Hi-Fi seriously sounds brand new. it could have come out last week

 

"Leave" is so fucking good, easy top 10 for me

Can't below E-Bow got to no 4 in the UK charts.

Always remember Michael saying they were going for a Public Enemy vibe with the "siren" throughout.

 

It truly is one of the best

 

it's my favorite album of theirs and also has my fav song of theirs ("Electrolite")

 

I always teeter between Automatic and New Adventures being my favorite of theirs. But I think these days, I lean towards New Adventures.
