This album came out the other day as well, it's really great. He's previously had features on Daniel Caesar and Omar Apollo songs. An interesting mix of folk and R&B
I missed this album earlier in the year but just listened and it’s definitely worth checking out. Sounds like something from the 80s
New album from Thee Sacred Souls. Has a retro kind of feel to it Also, Leon Bridges is back with a new record
I'm obsessed with this Gallant album. In particular "Atoms" and "Lucid" are easily two of my favorite songs this year.
This is extremely dope - the last few songs lift this into AOTY list territory. Dude has collaborated with Lil Simz and Sampha, and is on the same label as Fabiana Palladino who put out an incredible album earlier this year. @The Lucky Moose
Only just gave Gravy by BJ the Chicago Kid from last year a proper chance. I liked it when I first listened to it upon release but it’s clicked even more for me now. Always found his previous work to be quite inconsistent but this album is great from start to finish. Feels like a classic soul record, can see myself listening to this a lot.
It's been a long time coming but FLO's debut album is finally out Some of their past singles to give a taste https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuUzZ7yz6AI
Oh damn, I totally missed this. I liked In My Mind a ton a few years back but sorta lost track of him. I’ll have to catch up
Haven't listened to the whole thing, but what I have heard so far is as good as usual (meaning really good)
Not sure if it was posted before but this is a really good little project that I missed last year. Listened today for the first time and was pretty impressed
Hi R&B fam. I want to plug our lovely forum’s “album of the week” thread. It works like a book or film club but for albums. We switch every week. They usually rule and we get some great, often obscure, picks. Hoping to get more discussion there (and more r&b picks!) so if you’re interested, feel free to join and say hi.
