New dvsn song is probably their worst imo and the promo/music video for it are super corny. Their first two releases I still think are fantastic, it’s crazy that the same guys who made a song as phenomenal as “The Line” put out something so basic and corny.
I was going to do an Aaliyah discog run but I didn't know til today that her ENTIRE debut album was written and produced by R Kelly, which would make me feel weird in general, but then add in the fact that he was making her his child wife at the same time... I'm not sure I want to give that a listen. My disog run might just have to be the last two albums after she got away from him
Some great feature choices, gonna be a while till I did into the double album but I'm sure there's some gems in there
First impression of the new dvsn album: the lyrics are painfully cringe. He's singing about how he cheats on his partner, his partner cheats on him, etc and it all gets a bit tedious by the end when every single song revolves around cheating.
I haven't heard yet but dvsn has noticeably gone extremely downhill from their first two albums. I think they started chasing hits and lost a lot of their artistry
dvsn album is growing on me a bit now. Still think the lyrics are cringe in places, but it sounds good and is an improvement on the last record
