I saw the news that Wanderland got added to US streaming for the first time and remembered that I was interested. Always been a fan of the early Neptunes/NERD sound
Who remembers this one? It was my ringtone back then, which is why it now makes me feel some minor anxiety lol This guy could sing though
I was reading Eamon's Wikipedia page earlier today and it turns out he's another one of those 00s R&B artists who's career was throughly sabotaged by the record industry, despite the fact that he came on the scene with a global mega hit. It's a messed up story that sounds depressingly familiar. Anyway, he also put out a throwback-soul inspired album in 2017, which was his first one in ten years. Some good songs on that one.
Of course I kept reading, which let me to Frankee's Wikipedia. You know, the singer that made a reaction song to Fuck It that also became a hit. Anyway, she was also screwed over. I want to check out her first album however, because:
International Hip Hop, R&B & More • forum.chorus.fm Come through. @Petit nain des Îles Maybe something for you too?
This new Damar Jackson album is good too. I love Believe. Stream Damar Jackson’s Debut Album ‘U2’ There's also a new Raheem DeVaughn album. Listen to Raheem DeVaughn’s New Album ‘The Love Reunion’ Also you guys need to tell me when Brandy is on an album you are pushing. What song.
I don't know what the consensus on Robin Thicke is these days, I didn't really keep up frankly so I'm open to criticism, but some might remember that before Blurred Lines, he wasn't a running joke but instead was a pretty much universally beloved R&B artist known for his soulful, grown-and-sexy sound. His newest single is a return to that Robin Thicke. It's really nice.
I didn’t actually mean to diss his Blurred Lines phase either, although I personally didn’t much care for it.
