The first one I really liked since Confessions. I'm excited for more, but I wish people would stop it with the "[Iconic Album Name] 2" thing.

 

New Shafiq Husayn album out today. Couple of tracks in and it's as smooth and funky as you'd expect.

most if not all of these songs have been around on various compilations/bootlegs but it is cool to have them all constructed in what the You're the Man album may have looked like

who knows how close this was to Marvin's actual vision for the LP, but a fascinating listen nonetheless
