I'm pleasantly surprised by the PnB Rock album. It feels pretty derivative but there is still a lot of good songs on there.
So was I asleep last year or did this Tweet album come in way under the radar? This is really quality. Slots right in with Elle Varner and Jazmine Sullivan.
I liked it but it did not blow me away, I definitly liked Tweet's album a lot more, although there is no need to compare them i guess
posted this in the hip-hop thread but figured it'd also fit here. this is my fav Ty Dolla release-- beats are insane and lyrics are incredibly ridiculous. great features. i can't find it anywhere besides youtube so here ya goooo Ty Dolla $ign - Sign Language (Full Mixtape) - YouTube
Not *strictly* R&B but something some of you might enjoy... Kurt Travis, formerly of Dance Gavin Dance & A Lot Like Birds, just released a single from his new project with members of Chon & Strawberry Girls. The R&B influence is strong.
The first two Dwele albums are phenomenal. Don't think he got mentioned in here. Wonder what he's up to these days
Honestly cannot believe it didn't dawn on me to listen to New Edition before but holy crap is Heart Break my kinda shit. Jam and Lewis were the kings.
Been listening to Sade pandora on days when I'm in the office, and discovering a lot of good older stuff
Also I want a new Foreign Exchange album. Leave it all Behind and Authenticity are still perfect front to back
