R.A.P. Ferreira - Bob's Son (January 1, 2021) Album

FKA Milo, AKA Scallops Hotel. For fans of Abstract Hip Hop/Jazz Rap. His album Purple Moonlight Pages was my favorite of 2020. This new album is also fantastic.

Was only able to get through about half of this so far but this is great. No surprises.

Alternating back and forth between this and The Dirty Nil the last couple of days has been quite the vibe. But yeah this is fantastic, no surprise

Pretty certain I already like this a lot more than Purple Moonlight Pages which is wild

 

one thing I definitely like more about this one is the length. I feel like because it’s so short I can listen to it on loop at least a couple of times before getting tired of it.

So like I assumed on PMP it was just a new band he formed, but he not going by Milo anymore?

 

Well, the band on PMP is not on this afaik. But yeah R.A.P. Ferreira is just a new moniker and I’m unsure if that means he’s fully retired Milo or not

 

The Jefferson Park boys is a production team and worked on most of PMP. It’s Kenny Segal, Aaron Carmack, and Mike Parvizi. They had their own release too in 2018.

They're also all part of the Ruby Yacht with Rory.

Extremely bummed to discover this was pressed to vinyl and that I missed it. Sitting here putting off inevitably paying some scalper nearly 3x what I would’ve paid for it directly from the artist. Sometimes this hobby fucking sucks haha
