Yeah this is great, the middle section (between the interludes) is incredibly strong

Should I start with this or listen chronologically?

 

chronologically, for sure. the new one is a bit different. but yeah, start with Slip.

 

Never given anything by these guys a real listen until Interiors today, and it looks like that was a mistake. From the little I recall of their 90s stuff, this is different and I can see why existing fans might be disappointed, but this more atmospheric bent is right up my alley.

This pretty much seals that I can't miss the GJ/QS tour

Pretty great. Reminds me of old Quicksand more than anything off Interiors or Triptych Continuum.

 

not a huge fan of Walter's vocals on the last album. he seems to be doing the same thing with this new song. but i like this song a lot. my biggest wish is that they turned the bass up and lowered the guitar. i've always loved how bass driven their older stuff was. but whatever. beggars can't be choosers. GIMME ALL THE QUICKSAND.

 

Track is huuuuuuge. Looking forward to more. Looks like they went with Yip again — I think he’s a good fit for them.

 

I like it. Don't really need the "out of sight, out of mind" line.
