Don't think there is a question of considering just the 11 album tracks. Besides what 2 songs? There are like 10 different versions with wildly different bonus track Era Vulgaris (album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Also: Rated R ~ SFTD ~ QOTSA > Clockwork > Era > Lullabies Really the first 3 albums are godly and it really comes down to preference. And not to say there is anything wrong with the latter 3 albums, still the greatest living rock band, just lesser than the first 3.
I really don't understand why it wasn't on the album. I really enjoy EV, but that track being absent is so weird. I even like the remix version haha, and I don't typically care about remix tracks.
Man I'm just now checking out Songs for the Deaf. Flooring me. Idk if it's gonna touch Lullabies or ...Like Clockwork for me, but this band is seriously the best. Also they comfirmed they're gonna have a new album this year.
Songs for the Deaf will always be my favorite, but Like Clockwork is one of the best front-to-back albums I can think of. Era Vulgaris actually used to be my least favorite, but it's grown on me so much that I'd probably call it my third favorite QOTSA album. This band is damn near flawless though. Everything from the self-titled through Clockwork is fantastic.
I got into this band late, when my ex made me properly check them out before they headlined Reading a few years back. SFTD is one of those albums where every song is fantastic, and I really enjoy Era Vulgaris, Rated R and Like Clockwork too. Not so keen on Lullabies but Little Sister is a great song.
Lullabies took me a while, but it's probably now my fav. Will digest SFTD more obviously. I Never Came, and Burn the Witch are top QotSA songs.
