I think these people are still used to getting away with shit like this. I hope this has serious repercussions because it's people like this that are ruining music.
He straight up looked her in the eye, booted her in the face then said it wasn't intentional? Yeah good one you knob.
Yeah recklessly kicking the camera is one thing but looking her in the eyes and kicking her in the face is another entirely. Fuck this guy.
Really reallly reallllllly disappointed right now. Dude is an ass with that apology. “Lost in a performance” yeah
Well at least he seemed more sincere in those video apologies. Doesn’t mean he’s absolved in my eyes.
Yeah it’s nice to see him be sincere and honest. It does not by any means excuse what he did, but his apology seemed heart felt. Pretty much what @Cameron said.
The first written apology is weak as shit but the video ones definitely seem sincere. Queens of the Stone Age have been one of my favorite bands for 15 years and overall I like Josh Homme but he totally fucked up here. Not that it excuses what he did whatsoever but it does appear he was under the influence of something here. Already have tickets to see them in May and as of right now still plan on going, but really hope he makes proper amends to Chelsea and cleans up his act by then.
Jon’s drumming on Villains is so deceptively complex. I’m still unpacking the grooves, fills, and such on this record.
Josh Homme is releasing a Christmas 7”. Silent Night 7 I unfortunately wasn’t able to order one before they sold out, but it also looks like it will be available digitally on Friday.
I think its their best overall. The concept of it being a ride through the desert with the radio interludes peppered throughout is still really cool to me and they made it work. Also love Mark Lanegan's songs on it too. He's one of the best parts of the record for me.
I legitimately can't decide between Songs for the Deaf or Like Clockwork as my favorite and then after that, Lullabies and Villains are right on the same tier for me too
I probably haven't listened to it this year solely because I overplayed the hell out of it. Great album though.
