lol you think I won't do it but there's a good chance I'm doing depending on how many uh... beverages I've consumed at that point.
In the same boat. I've got a lot of downtime before Queens so I may try to sneak up there. BUT I WANNA DANCE.
QOTSA are one of my favorite bands, but their new albums always have to grow on me. As of right now, here's how I feel about Villains: Super Into It: Feet Don't Fail Me Domesticated Animals Head Like A Haunted House Un-Reborn Again The Evil Has Landed Into It: The Way You Used To Do Villains of Circumstance Still Growing: Fortress Hideaway
Yeah Hideway took awhile, but I'm on board now. Love the bass in it My least favorite would be Head Like A Haunted House, but it's still a good track.
This is really good. The first two songs especially rip. And the random lift from Georgia Satellites is definitely going to be my favorite musical easter egg/allusion of the year.
The transition from Feet Don't Fail Me into The Way You Used To Do really reignited my excitement for the latter song. It just flows so perfectly. The only song that's still growing on me is Hideaway, and that's not to say I dislike it at all, it just hasn't fully clicked with me yet.
It was amazing! I was not drunk enough to actually fall down hahaha, but it was an incredible show and one of my favorite two sets of the weekend.
Feet Don't Fail Me, Way You Used To, Domesticated Animals, and the Evil Has Landed. The whole set was a little short, but those are the 4 I wanted to see most from the new one so that's good!
Ah it would have been cool to see them play Fortress, but that's a good set. Evil Has Landed must be insane live
Yea I'm upset about Fortress we're not talking about that right now. And Villains of Circumstance too. And yes. Yes it was.
Holy shit our radio station just announced a holiday show with Run the Jewels! What the hell that's going to be an amazing night. And it's on a Saturday too!
Haha same here, the second I saw it I was like well there's no way I'm not going, so I immediately bought one. Will any of my friends go with me? Who knows. Do I care at all? Nope.
Do you ever listen to an album and you really have nothing new to say about it but you just love it so much you have to say something? Because same.
Same. This album rules. I'm listening to Domesticated Animals right now and to me it sounds like a combination of Rated R and Era Vulgaris. Like the lovechild of Leg of Lamb and I'm Designer.
I'm not overly familiar with I'm Designer, but Domesticated Animals slays. Favorite on the album probably.
In true Queens fashion, it was initially a track I wasn't overly fond of, but then grew on me immensely and became a favorite. They do that to me with every album.
