Every Queens album sounds weird, imo

 

The new album is out there.

Think it kinda sucks personally.

Just feels significantly less interesting than anything they did on the last 2albums, last track is pretty great though.

 

I love the production on Songs For The Deaf and Era Vulgaris.

 

can't really imagine it being less interesting than villains, a largely bad album lol. emotion sickness alone is way more interesting

 

How are they live? My friends and I per chance might catch them in Nov.

 

i’ve seen them twice, both at fests, once was great and once wasn’t. watching videos of their recent performances though the band is sounding really tight live

 

Seen them 3 times and they've always been great.

 

If you see QUOTSA live, friendly reminder to not flip off Josh or throw something at him. I imagine he's mellowed a bit with age but he spent 5 min of their set opening for NIN back in 2005 talking shit about this guy flipping him off.

 

New record reminds me more of Desert Sessions material than anything QOTSA.

 

So far this sounds to me like Era Vulgaris style attitude with more expensive production and more fleshed out arrangements and I am extremely OK with that

 

My local record store is doing an official release party with giveaways and swag and whatnot on Thursday night, so I’m probably gonna go.

Just bought tickets to see them in September. Will be my first Queens show and I'm so pumped. Can't wait to headbang myself silly during Song for the Dead.
