yeah IMO having 'faith' doesnt necessarily have to be rooted in religious beliefs. it's something i'll probably struggle with my whole life tbh.

I have no faith. It sucks, but it's helped me feel better as a person in a really fucked up way.

 

It's kinda scary to think of a reality in which when you die you just poof into nonexistence, my brain can't comprehend it.

But I also can't comprehend the idea of a "heaven" or at least how it's typically presented, and I'm kind of jealous of people who believe that they're seeing their loved ones when they die.

 

the idea of spending eternity with my family sounds miserable haha

Thanks for responding back to that guys it was super scary for me to write that in here! A lot of what is leading me that way is because of Bernie and people that support him are fighting hard for people they don't even know and people turning down large sums of money offered to them because it is against their beliefs. Also my cousins fight to stay alive through cancer and how strong my aunt is after her best friend and husbands death. She is so appreciative of the time she got with him. And he was also a very inspiring man who valued family, friends and working hard over money. Basically people have been very inspirational to me lately and it makes me feel as though there's something good guiding us

Well, for a long time the feeling of the loss of fatih/religion/etc was difficult to get over. I feel better about it than ever now though.

I know nihilism is edgy but I really want to believe in the goodness of humanity overall. I feel like there's a way to get there and maybe it's all of us having little changing moments like this in our lives
