just got through shaving, love

 

Not feelin' it today, folks. Had to wake up at 5am yesterday to drive to Philly for work, then drive back and sit in traffic, etc. Got home, took a shower, and went to bed at 8pm. Feeling foggy and bummed out today.

 

I am so pissed because my potential employer paid for me thru the job site to have a background check and I didn't pass!!! Wtf I literally have no criminal record. I need to call again today to get it figured out and this just sets me back a ton. I wonder if I should say anything to the employer about why I haven't sent it yet

 

That's tough.. I'd be scared the potential employer would be scared away, but at the same time, honesty usually is the best policy. You don't want them to think you haven't submitted it yet because you aren't interested or anything..

The sittercity site told me to call a number to a different company that specifically handles that for them if I wanted to dispute it. I called the number and they said that the background check was still pending so they couldn't see anything! I'm supposed to call back today to see if it went thru and then they will send it directly to me to help me out.

 

Ikr! Also they said they'd send me a contract to look at either yesterday or today. They still haven't sent it so I'm wondering if it's bc I haven't sent the background check yet. I'm going to cry.

Don't cry! At this point, since it does look like it's still pending, maybe you can reach out to the potential employer, let them know you filled out the bg check and that it's still pending? That sound better than, "I didn't pass and need to figure out why".
