The two openers there had better representation than most of the shows I go to, and I thought of that as it was happening.

 

Whenever I go see a band with female/poc/lqbtq members they almost always have representation of these groups in their support bands, but you know only cishet white boys are in bands according to festival organisers

 

Tegan and Sara only have LGBTQ openers and it shows and they are queens

 

Camp Cope and Nervus are two of the best ones at having diverse line ups in my experience

Also shout out to PUP for being the only white boy to always have diverse support bands

 

Jawbreaker, Thursday, and MCS have all been pretty good about it too, which only makes me love them more.

I wouldn't say I necessarily feel less than, it's just about different things I guess. Like it's hard for me to relate when it comes to politics and such because I know so little and just kinda don't care, even though I know I probably should. I don't know. Part of me just wishes I cared more about non-trivial things.

I admire all of you greatly for all these things, it's just hard for me to relate sometimes, not a big deal at all!
