I can’t subject myself to something he might be bad in, it would hurt too much. So many great actors are absolutely terrible with accents.

Why does this film have two British people doing bad accents playing the lead roles instead of having Americans lol

 

Hers is sort of cheating though since she grew up there and basically has two accents she can switch on and off. Just another way she’s cooler than everyone.

 

I'm trying to think of other actors that do accents well and Tom Holland's American accent was the first thing that came to mind

 

I honestly never notice bad accents. Sometimes they're a little off like Ewan MacGregor in Doctor Sleep, but I don't care

 

is it easy to do an american accent? so many british actors have apot on american accents. like I had no clue christian bale was english for the longest time.

 

Seriously someone watch this so I'm not alone in finding Asa's accent terrible

Has anyone watched those technique critique videos on YouTube about accent work? I vaguely remember talking about them here but not who it was with. Those are super interesting and the expert does an amazing job of getting into fine detail about what goes into a good or bad one or what separates a good one from a truly great one.

i actually watched The Walking Dead before I ever watched Love Actually and was shocked to learn that Andrew Lincoln was english. I think he does a good american south accent.
