A few years ago my dad was like "how come we can't say that word anymore? It's just a word."
Then I told him why and he actually listened and thanked me for explaining it to him. He stopped saying the word completely.
Maybe there is hope for boomers yet, but the problem is they get their news from sources that don't explain the opposition at all. It's all spun as whiny liberals taking away their rights.
Anyway, I miss my dad a lot today.

 

Don't know why I suddenly remembered this but I wish I could forget

 

Every now and then I’m around people who talk like that and it’s super jarring and reminds me how fortunate I am that most people I interact with aren’t like that.

Been thinking about a career change/pivot, I never wanted to be in this industry anyway - however while I have some skills under my belt from the job, I feel like I need something stronger to get me into another industry. I'm thinking tech cause I wanna make that $$$ and my degree can partially support that in theory, however I need some tangible skills to pair along with it.

Was thinking some certs in either photoshop/etc. cause my concentration was marketing, or pivot entirely into something new and go for something coding related. Been wondering if I should start learning java/python/SQL, etc. Also wondering if it would be more feasible to go for front or back end dev stuff in that regard cause I could theroetically work javascript/css/html skills into the marketing angle, but see a lot of money in going the back end dev route and doing data science of some sort.

If anybody has any suggestions please let me know, I was thinking of doing a coding bootcamp or something but 1) cost 2) accessibility 3) not sure if that's worth the cost.

I believe so. I don't actually know what positions they're hiring for I just see the posts on their IG that they're hiring for their kitchen

A good place to start is O’Reilly online learning. If you still have an edu email and your school has a license to that site, you can login and they have thousands of relevant textbooks, videos, learning paths, etc.
