Also my gf, despite being awful at admitting she’s wrong/was mean, is doing lots of little things that signal to me she’s sorry and I’m v happy again.

So as I sit at my desk drinking coffee that tastes like cigarettes (which I must drink - the principal made it me) downing mini cookies and ready to tackle an orange bigger than most of your heads, I am smiling.

Also everyone, the very SECOND the new Tame Impala album is out I need EVERYONE here to listen to Breathe Deeper from it. Because I’m so in love with that song. I cannot get it out of my head.

I’m pretty sure I wrote about it at length in the movie thread way back when if you want to look that up, but if I get bored and want to get heavy later I’ll give you a nice rant in here too. It’s absolutely one of my favorite portrayals of utter loss and despair that I’ve ever seen on film. When I saw people comment that their reactions seemed hard to believe and took them out of the movie I was immediately jealous that they had never experienced that kind of feeling. On opening night when they got to that point I cried so hard for so long that I missed most of the next scene. Luckily I wasn’t alone because it would have been brutal by myself.

Plus Toni and Gabriel and Ann are three of my absolute all time favorites so even without getting into the content it was already guaranteed to be one of my favorites ever. I didn’t make a decade list but that would have been on it without a doubt.

 

I can’t tell if you’re being factual or it’s a self-own but trussssst me it’s like the size of a small melon lmao I’m amazed. Japan grows fruit in such ridiculously perfect conditions and refuses to sell misshapen fruit. It has to be the epitome of perfection brilliantly round, large and the right colour. Applies to every fruit

 

I’d love to sit and listen to your thoughts on the film in a podcast for or something haha. I had a very visceral reaction to the film and yeah...it got under my skin that people would claim their reactions weren’t authentic. Like that is THE most human I’ve seen anybody act in film in a long, long time. It was exhausting in the best way.

Because they’re fucking massive and grown in perfect conditions - also most watermelons here (in my area and in cities) are grown SQUARE! As a CUBE!! So they fit in people’s tiny fridges easier. So there’s that

 

omg the scene of Annie finding Charlie’s body and you don’t even get to see it you just hear her telling her husband goodbye and walking out to find the body is legitimately the most upsetting moment I’ve ever see in a movie. Then the dinner scene of her and Peter just going at it. Heart wrenching

That’s such a huge compliment! I almost got involved in a podcast once but it fell through. If I ever got connected to another one that would absolutely be one of the first movies I would choose to talk about.

Idk I’ve said it before but I’d love to get to know everybody here personally. Sad you’re all mostly American and miles and miles and miles away. Know a lot of you would be wicked to have a drink with and you’re all really interesting to me

 

Also MAD ANXIETY RN - I cannot and should not drink coffee because I get double vision, anxiety and seriously all worked up and WEIRD. But I felt bad so I drank it anyway and now I’m like shaking. It’s legit worse than a bad trip for me sometimes

 

Agreed, I’d love to hang with you all in person. Maybe not all at the same time, but certainly where I’d get to everyone eventually.

 

So I finally admitted to myself that I really want a baby. It's not possible for us though. I honestly feel relief now that I know the truth tho.
