I keep thinking about doing their fest but I don’t know if I can swing another trip right now. Having The Veil and The Answer keep me happy though. Especially the Andalls.

I love him so much. Wish I liked Toast of London more but it just doesn’t work for me. His singing is perfect though.

 

Not sure how I feel about banana flavor in my beer but the rest sound freaking great

 

a half and half using wells banana bread beer and guinness is, surprisingly delicious.

 

They do banana in stouts better than anyone, it's kind of one of their specialities. My favorite stout of theirs I've ever had was made with oreos, wild thai banana, and freeze dried neapolitan ice cream. It was fantastic.

Also, how have you never been there?!?!

 

Yeah, not all episodes do it for me, but I like a few of them a lot, like the one where goes on a date with a hoarder and the woman who stabbed her boyfriend keeps stalking him.

I’m very picky about banana flavor in general. It’s so hard to get it in there naturally and the artificial taste is terrible. I had a great banana mead recently that was maybe my favorite attempt at it.

Also Other Half did a takeover at Veil not too long ago and they brought a bunch of magnums of their most rare stuff. Some of those were truly unreal.

Okay I'll give it a try, I guess I'm afraid of an artificial weird banana aftertaste or something but that sounds really good.

looks like Other Half is right by my sister in law's apartment, so I may have to double up and do that and Six Point in a day sometime soon

 

When OH breaks out the magnums people don't even know what they're in for. Their general manager Geriz, whose Instagram handle is @beerwithflavor, is the man and he's always on hand at events like that to pour them.

 

The Answer also uses banana really well but in stuff like their FrozAns which are way closer to milkshakes/smoothies/daiquiris than they are to what anyone would consider beer. It’s a problem to have those available all the time.

They use real banana and incorporate it so well, it never tastes fake or artificial at all. Really great stuff.

Other Half is easily the overall best brewery in the tri-state and one of the top breweries in the country, definitely go if you can.

That event had Sam himself pouring them! He had to catch a flight right after popping them so it was a pretty crazy time. The cookie ones were maybe my favorite, but I’d need to go back to my pictures to remember them all.

Oh yeah that's sick. I'm going to their Pastrytown festival next month, really just beyond stoked for what they're going to bring to that.

 

I listened to new Green Day almost twice through on accident and didn’t even realize because all the songs sounded the same. Maybe they should try trap beats next time.
