eh it looks like most folks are shitting on it from what i can see, but this is a case of "someone on staff says its good or has a differing opinion so you are wrong by default" and that's always lame.

Funniest thing is I don't even think the album is outright bad. There's good stuff on there. It's just so bizarre for Green Day to follow-up their well-liked "return-to-form" record with an album that is, like, 2/3 comprised of songs that borrow sounds that haven't been popular in the mainstream since like pre-2010 (for a reason!).

That isn't artistic progression lol

I tell ya what, that SLS album is a friggin' downer man. Like goddamn I don't know how often I'll be able to listen to it. It's incredible but it phuxcked me the phuxck up.

I find it funny that after schmaltz came out Dylan said he didn't like most of Giants anymore because it was too pessimistic. Listening to BFE I wonder what he thinks now lol
