I really like this, and I think it's cool they brought 070 Shake on, Use Me was really cool. Album ends on a very strong note with that and Wish You Well. Also I know it's been out a very long time but I still can't get over how good Hallucinations is.
I still think Nightmares should have been on this but yeah it’s a solid album. I’ve only played it through speakers so it will be nice to listen with headphones in today.
The use of 'I' and signing off as PVRIS - as I've said previously the primary musical vision has been hers for a while, so this tracks.
For as many delays as this had I would have expected the vinyl to be here on release day. No shipping update :/
Ok I said I felt the acoustic performance of GTBA was better than the album, but I've come around entirely to the album version. So tied up and tired of this self-inflicted fight
Listened to this record a ton in the past 24 hours. I think Lynn did a really good job with writing this. Old Wounds makes a ton a sense now in the context of the record. Reading the NME interview really hit home for me. I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in January, so having Lynn being so open to her diagnosis and how she's adapted made me back this record way more than it would have if she hadn't. Probably my favorite artist right now (also helps that she's local to me).
Always been a pretty casual fan but this is easily their most consistent yet. Wish it was a little edgier/heavier but still really really good.
lead singer of paper route produced this. now that i know that i kinda hear some pr influence. good to be alive's chorus is great btw.
Thinking the exact same. Honestly like Things are Better sandwiched between the title track and Wish You Well. Also Old Wounds and Loveless back-to-back is absolutely devastating. Gave me goosebumps today on how powerful those songs are.
