my guess would be a new deluxe package with the bonus tracks from the first deluxe edition, a couple new songs/demos, acoustic versions, etc. trying to remember if the vinyl is currently out of print - i know the deluxe version is
yeah that does nothing for me personally...a re-record would be super interesting but it's not going to be that
there's a video of her talking about it during the lowell show where she says there's a lot of fun people on it so it's either remixes or rerecordings w guests i'm assuming.
part of me initially thought she'd do a rerecorded version but when she said the album was being reissued, i thought that would be out of the question. guess that's not the case. curious to see who she ends up collaborating with!
plus a tour playing the album in full! might be different since everyone from that era is gone besides lynn but who knows! i haven't seen them live since 2019 and it was still the classic lineup
iirc, Brian is still a member of her touring band, so you'll at least have ⅔ of the OG lineup from that album cycle
i went back and watched this video and you can barely make out what she's saying beneath the screaming, but it sounds like she said "some music, some remixes and shit" - so maybe B-sides and remixes is the most likely scenario
They should throw that original EP on there too. I forget what it was called now. I still have it but it’d be nice to be on streaming.
Crazy it's been 10 years! I remember seeing them as the opener on a Mayday Parade headliner in late 2014. Something like Mayday Parade, Tonight Alive, Major League, PVRIS
there's a video from the final night of that tour where lynn joins TA on stage for lonely girl and it's lived rent free in my head for a decade. so fucking good. the harmonies!
that EP premiered exclusively on absolutepunk iirc? nice to be discussing this band still all these years later on its successor site
Snippet of the new version of My House. Wild how much her vocals have matured compared to the original version.
interesting. wonder now if it's just a full re-recording (plus remixes and B-sides) or a re-issue with a few new reworkings. if it's the former, it might be a way to have another release under her control at Hopeless (although i'm sure Rise would jump at the opportunity to reissue White Noise)
Very curious to hear the rerecording. Probably because their guitarist was the helm production wise, but I always heard some remnants of VersaEmerge on that album. If the rerecording is done with someone else, I wonder if that vibe will still be present.
Loving the refresh on White Noise. It's great considering I have been sort of checked out on Pvris for the last few years.
Waking Up has always been my favorite also. If anyone ever wants to part with their physical ep let me know. I lost my entire cd collection during hurricane Milton and I’m desperately trying to get some important ones back :/
