I love this, the beats are wild (although the "Call My Bluff" beat is baffling). "Brambleton" is a fantastic opener. Not a single yeughhh!
Yeah I haven’t made it all the way through yet but I loved what I was able to listen to this morning.
Yeah this is probably his best project overall -- basically the same level as Daytona for me, but long enough to feel like a real album. Holy shit that last track....Malice coming out of nowhere with "tell me what I missed" and then killing his verse like that, legendary shit
kanye verse on Dreamin Of The Past fuckin' blows, how can the man not get himself a studio in engineer? all his verses sound literally phoned in lately
This is really good and rather surprisingly at this point the two Kanye tracks are top tier. Dreamin of the Past in particular is awesome
The white privilege line blew my head back… and I knew it was coming. How can someone made a career off coke rap make cocaine references sound so effortless 20+ years later?
The Pusha verses are too good for me to get rid of Rock n Roll even if the Kanye part is weird Scrape it Off doesn’t do much for me, the guest spots aren’t great enough to justify Push not coming in until the last minute. And that “my boy” verse is probably my least favorite of his on the album. Really love everything else though. I’ve been playing the shit out of the Vince album so to get this gem from Pusha and then Kendrick next month…maybe the most excited I’ve been about rap since I was a teenager lol
