Never doubt Kanye as a producer. Got damn the beats on this are amazing. Wish this was longer though.
I actually love how short this album is. Feels like a definitive statement that he's gonna do exactly how much he wants and nothing more. If the upcoming four albums are all this short then there's a serious stance being taken here.
I also like how short it is, really helps keep it hitting Also with Pusha's whole thing being about the in and outs of coke dealing, he's not really the type that should have a longer album. Short and sweet suits him best.
Pusha said something of the sorts that him and Kanye agreed that only 7 tracks makes want to put out your absolute best instead of having some filler in there
This defintiely feels really short (because it is) but all seven songs are fucking dope. Kanye's production throughout the entire thing is absolutely amazing (and he also spits a pretty damn good verse), and of course Push kills the whole album. I'm gonna have to get used to this under-30-minute-album concept if the rest of the albums are this short too but there's not a single second of filler on this thing. Can see myself throwing this on for a really long time
we're gonna be able to throw all 5 albums in a playlist and get a fucking incredible hour+ album out of this I think
I thought the noise throughout on What Would Meek Do sounded familiar. Samples Yes- Heart of the Sunrise
There’s not necessarily a bad song on here, and I applaud it for being short as hell, but I don’t think I can muster up anything beyond a “fine”. Push does what he does pretty well but nothing stood out. I’m baffled by the Ye praise in terms of production and his verse. None of them are bad, but I haven’t been blown away which I usually am with a lot of his production. Laughable to call this an album of Bound 2
