Yeah, I totally understand that, and it’s probably more to do that I’m not a lyrically driven listener. I’m just a huge fan of things that push the envelope, and this doesn’t scratch that itch for me. And also the dynamics to the album don’t sound as fleshed out as they should be. But glad people are enjoying it
Haha true, some of my favorite albums of the decade are rap albums that deal with dynamics (I.e. Big Fish Theory). Totally different purpose though. Love the variety that rap music can provide, this side of it doesn’t do much for me.
My favourite part of Drake's diss is when he takes a shot at the GOOD roster like Big Sean alone isn't more successful than the entire OVO Sound roster. Or that like, fucking CyHi is better than Push or something. The track is solid. It's just a funny little nitpick.
