I personally love how the vocals are dropped in the mix. Re: “Relentless”, probably the best song here.
Top 5 is really hard. I haven't had a chance to really process the album yet so no new tracks are included Gut feel, no order: Morbid Stuff Anaphylaxis Sleep In The Heat If This Tour Doesn't Kill You, I Will Kids Any of these could swap into the top 5: Guilt Trip Reservoir Mabu Dark Days DVP My Life Is Over Can't Win Familiar Patterns Closure Sibling Rivalry Nothing Changes
I think I listened to this album seven straight times today. Just really clicking into place and connecting with every song and the lyrics like I haven’t done in quite some time. I’ve always been a fan of the band but I think this is the first record of theirs to grab me so immediately. Really obsessed with “Relentless” and it’s a great track to listen to while running. Want to go back and spin the rest of records since it’s been awhile but I just keep hitting play again when this ends.
God, the first half of this album hits so fucking hard but it really does lose me in the last few tracks (until the actual closer which I love). So far really having a hard time getting into Relentless, Habits, Cutting Off the Corners and Grim Reaping which is kinda rough since they're all basically right next to each other Still absolutely loving the rest though and still strongly considering going and seeing them
Ah bummer. I think Relentless, Habits and Cutting off the Corners are arguably the 3 best songs on the record. I think Grim Reaping is my least favorite though.
Yeah, a little disappointing but I just decided to keep it with some other records I’ve never unwrapped.
Wow, I was tempted to pay someone an outlandish price for that if that was alternate cover. Glad I didn’t, even though the art rules regardless.
Yup, it is. Even with that said, the shipping was super fast (I guess it arrived yesterday but I was in dc all day and not home) and it’s nice to not have to worry about an alternate cover sleeve getting all messed up. But now it’s just like “well what do I do with this print?” Im thinking of framing it since it is so cool, but idk.
Would say my top five are (not in order): Reservoir DVP Sleep In The Heat See You At Your Funeral Kids Will need to see how these songs last long term before I add them, but Totally Fine, Waiting and Matilda will all end in my top 10 if not five.
This really does just keep getting better. Every time I listen a different song more fully clicks into place
Four Chords (and the interludes) really click when you hear it live. I loved it to start but it was such a fucking fun way to kick off a show.
