I had an inkling this would be the one on NPR when they said "morning." What is? That it got an NPR premiere?
Well they've been touring essentially non-stop over the past couple of years, that's how I found out about them. Saw them at a TFB tour in London back in 2014. I liked them and just checked them out after and have been a fan ever since.
npr isn't surprising at all, this is the kind of "punk" record they'd be all up on, sort of like beach slang
not really, side one dummy has a wider reach than tiny engines (though will/chuck have really gotten their brand up, they're really good at their job). plus hotelier pretty much said last night it wouldn't be them. i'm still stunned they're streaming it this early (if what they said wasn't just pure teasing). wouldn't be surprised if we get one more single then no stream until release
Wasn't going to give these guys a chance after thinking DVP and If This Tour... weren't anything special, but Doubts and the hype from this forum got me really interested to hear this. Very impressed after my first listen. Could see this being one of my favorites of the year so far (along with Modern Baseball, Pinegrove, and Camp Cope, soon to be the Hotelier). I'll be purchasing this one for sure.
I bet that it would be the Hotelier because they were hinting for late tonight. I thought they put up streams late because I remember that happening Against Me! and Braid but that was like two years ago now haha
i like this but i don't love it. couple real good tracks in this but nothing hit me as hard on immediate listen as the first two singles. it is good though
I am so into this. this is like the perfect "fuck everything let's go nuts" album and I feel like it's gonna be spinning all summer for me
fuck everything lets go nuts albums are the best albums. i like albums that make me feel ok with being a fucking loser, and if the rest has the same mentality as DVP i'm in
