Finally had a chance at work to listen to the album. Damn. Its so good.

 

after a half dozen listens or so, the only tracks i’m not much into are Bloody Mary and Fullblown Meltdown. re: the latter, i just don’t vibe with their heavier stuff.

best record of theirs and i love it though, Bare Hands, Scorpion Hill, and City are incredible

I can’t have whiskey anymore due to an unfortunate hangover. PUP is definitely a beer band, which I also can’t have so I’m SOL.

The ranking of alcohol is gin first though cmon.

 

I mean, fate has brought me not only this album but payday, a couple of beers with the boys and a bit of ecstasy...

The run on this album is insane, not a dull moment and I somehow think Kids is a better song now I've heard it in context with the album and I already loved it.

(Whiskey is better than Scotch for sure.)

 

Kids went from “meh” to “holy shit this song is nothing but crazy hooks” for me

 

FINALLY someone said it. thank you, this is correct.

 

Those first 3 songs are just an amazing start to the record. What a 1-2-3 punch.

 

This is me demanding my friends to listen to this album

 

scotch > bourbon > rye (though a great rye beats a mediocre bourbon)

though if it tastes like medicine it's good imo, cf. my favorite thing to drink is fernet, and whoever said gin is at the top of the alcohol ranking is correct

 

also bloody mary haters haven't had their lives saved by a bloody mary during a nuclear hangover
