I'm glad that they're throwing some buzz behind Brent Cobb, but that album was firmly a 2016 release.

 

haven't brought myself to listen to mt. eerie despite loving phil. the subject matter just hits too close to home.

 

Scrolling through the performative cool kid opinions in this thread every year to find the lists is one of my most teeth-grinding annoyances.

They certainly are men of character. And it shows in their writing on this brilliant album.

 

that Paste list is cool for giving Jay Som #1, but RTJ3 wasn't a top 10 album of 2016, much less a top 5 album of 2017

 

Compiling all the albums I haven't heard on these lists in a spreadsheet. Currently LCD Soundsystem is by far my biggest miss of the year.

 

Lcd is fine, listen to tonite you don’t really need to bother with the rest. Getting listed weirdly high, not even the best critically acclaimed comeback album of the year

 

Yeah, LCD was fine. Loyle Carner is dope though.
