Wait, why? I was just saying that it seems rare for lists to include mixtapes. Not that people not didn’t include the first, so they wouldn’t include the second. For Future, it’s one of his two albums and not his mixtape that’s on there.

The Drake playlist and Coloring Book are the only two non-album format releases I can think of on these lists

 

Yeah. Not that it *should* disqualify them, but that it often does

 

I basically treat the Charli releases as albums anyway. The line is too blurred between albums and mixtapes nowadays

 

Seeing the “Menzingers sound like FYS” and “Transient Love” posts back to back just about gave me a hernia

 

I must have misread/misunderstood. I thought you were simply stating one of her projects wouldn't make lists because they other didn't. I thought it was irrelevant to the "format." My b.

Late to this but Bruno is great, that album came out last year though, I understand it was a single this year, I'm never quite sure which to count it for

A U R O R A is one of my favorite albums so I have no idea why I haven't listened to the new record yet

I find that Forest Swords album a lil overrated but it's nice

 

That Gas album was my go to for reading and studying for like a month after seeing him. It’s great.

 

Can't imagine a list less likely to have an album I'd like than Pitchfork's experimental list, and yet, there's Forest Swords.

This list from Bandcamp has the best diversity of choices IMO if you're like me and just look at these lists to find new music you might have missed this year, the ranking is kind of arbitrary.

 

I saw you posted these earlier and it was way more diverse than I was expecting, bandcamp staff must be cool as hell. Definitely going to dig through all the lists when I have a minute.
